·
Heat, as already stated, is a form of repulsion and heat radiated
into space becomes utilizable again.
·
All energy now active on earth is transformed heat of the sun and
heat itself has a repulsive
character.
·
Without the repulsive motion radiated to us from the sun, all motion
on the earth would cease.
· The whole of nature accessible to us forms a system, an interconnected totality of bodies, and by bodies we understand here all material existence extending from stars to atoms.
· All motion is bound up with some change of place, whether it is change of place of heavenly bodies, terrestrial masses, molecules, atoms, or ether particles. The higher the form of motion, the smaller this change of place. It in no way exhausts the nature of the motion concerned, but it is inseparable from the motion. It therefore, has to be investigated before anything else.
· Organic life is not possible without mechanical or molecular changes. But the presence of these "subsidiary" forms does not exhaust the essence of main form in each case... For the organism is certainly the higher unity that within itself unites mechanics, physics and chemistry into a whole where the trinity can no longer be separated.
