When one diligently observes all the inner activities of the mind, then he or she will easily realize that human beings have three basic psychological urges: sexual, economic and intellectual. These urges are interconnected in the deeper roots of the central nervous system, where it controls the entire body mechanism like the breath of life. Based on the biological and physical needs of the body and the material interactions and counteractions of the surrounding world, a particular urge will take upper hand in the inner roots of human being's mental mechanism. Then, through intellectual observation of the outer condition, these urges will react in a conscious, logical or rational manner. In every human being there are hidden and exhibiting minds. The hidden mind will carefully control the verbal communication mechanism of the exhibiting mind.
Today, every human being is internally suffering in the powerful cycle of hidden and exhibiting minds. The complex and dual functioning of these two minds is the basic reason for almost all the disorders of the inner as well as outer worlds. For ages, ego, envy and premeditated behaviour patterns have become the driving forces of the entire psychological, biological and physical mechanisms of the inner mind.
Therefore, there is a need to master the inner activities of our own mental mechanism; otherwise a life of joy will become a mirage. Gauthama Buddha says, “Happy is he who has overcome all selfishness; happy is he who has attained peace and happy is he who has found the Truth”.
