Honesty with oneself and with others is not only the highest order of the inner, but is the immortal language of spiritual integrity. We are always attempting to be honest and frank. However, in reality, honesty and frankness cannot be products of attempt. They have to be spontaneous. When one is honest, everything happens naturally. Honesty does not require any preparation, before the action. Hence, there will be no wastage of energy. Wastage will be there only if we try to add meaning to every event. Trying itself is a waste of energy, whereas, honesty is the highest order of the inner.
Vivekananda says, “if you shed tears when you miss the sun, you also
miss the stars.”
Suffering and pain is the root cause of all inventions. Without suffering, pain and problems we would never search for solutions. We can attain the highest state of spiritual excellence only after crossing the zone of suffering. The entire spectrum of scientific and spiritual enlightenment is a product of detachment, penance and its pain. Suffering leads to pain and pain in turn leads to suffering. Pain is diagnostic in nature. It leads us to solutions. Attempt to escape from pain is the negation of Nature’s signals and directions to Infinite Happiness.
Truly enlightened person loves and respects pain because these are the roots of their spiritual excellence. Gauthama Buddha says, "He who has recognized suffering, its cause, and its remedy has fathomed the Noble Truth. He will walk in the right path."
