Customer Review: Her idea of "Hot" isn't in line with mine. She suggests baring your belly and states that it's hotter to show belly skin than when you don't. Personally, a line of bulging belly showing doesn't make me feel hot. It makes me feel like my clothes have shrunk and I need to find something that fits better. I actually bought this for myself when I first got pregnant and was trying to get used to the idea. I agree with the other reviewers; there's very little substance in this book. If you are buying this as a gift or buying it as an easy segue into the maternity world, I'd suggest going for Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Childbirth instead. She'll tell you what's down the pike in a way that will make you laugh out loud. Now *that's* HOT.

Man, a lot of books lack key information needed in this field but this book is right on. The chapters are well put together in a great order. No skipping around chapters. Customer Review: I found the author's suggestions reasonable and her writing pleasant. You won't feel badgered or overwhelmed when you read this. I picked up some good ideas on combos for the 9 month era, which is good, because I think my daughter is tiring of grain + fruit or veggie at every meal! My favorite discovery is tofu blended with banana. YUM! (so that's how they make those yummy and expensive soy shakes!) There are lots of great toddler recipes, and a few others for all ages that I might try. Overall, good information, presented in a simple and useful format.

Through channeled information and some personal recountings, Greenwell goes through various techniques that may be helpful in bringing about a spiritually focused conception, pregnancy, birth and child-rearing. While the techniques and suggestions may not all ring true for every person, the book does elicit a deeper understanding of the spiritual process at work.
After going through a traumatic first birth ending in a C-section, my husband and I had many misgivings about birthing our second child. The book was integral in helping us face our fears. I gave birth naturally without drugs of any sort...labor was relatively easy and my husband caught the baby. Both my husband and I had our faith renewed in the natural process of birth, but most importantly our second daughter was spared the incredible physical and emotional stresses that my first went through.
Many of the new children are called Indigos. Greenwell calls them "Violet Babes." Her book does not contradict the Indigo Children book by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober...instead it offers a complementary look at this new generation of beings, one that resonates at a different level altogether.
This book is not for everyone. However, for those who are on a spiritual path and looking for information on The Children of the Seventh Manu...it is an invaluable resource.
